أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخَيْبَرَ فَمَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ " ، فَنَظَرُوا فِي مَتَاعِهِ فَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودٍ لا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him): We were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at Khaybar when a man from the tribe of Ashja‘ died. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not lead his funeral prayer and said: "You perform the funeral prayer of your companion." (Later) the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) looked into his belongings and found among them some beads of the Jews, which were not even equal to two dirhams.
