عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : كَانَ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَهِدَ إِلَى أَخِيهِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ وَلِيدَةِ زَمْعَةَ مِنِّي فَاقْبِضْهُ إِلَيْكَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عَامُ الْفَتْحِ أَخَذَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَقَالَ : ابنُ أَخِيَ قَدْ كَانَ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ فِيهِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ : أَخِي ابْنُ وَلِيدَةِ أَبِي وُلِدَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَتَسَاوَقَاهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ : إِنَّ أَخِي قَدْ كَانَ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ فِيهِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ : أَخِي وَابْنُ وَلِيدَةِ أَبِي وُلِدَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدُ بْنَ زَمْعَةَ " ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِسَوْدَةَ بِنْتِ زَمْعَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ يَا سَوْدَةُ " لَمَّا رَأَى مِنْ شَبَهِهِ بِعُتْبَةَ فَمَا رَآهَا حَتَّى لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
Narrated from Lady Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ: Utbah bin Abi Waqqas made a will to his brother, our master Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the son of Zam’ah’s slave woman is from my semen, so take him. When Makkah was conquered, our master Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) took hold of him and said, “This (is my brother’s son); my brother made a will about him.” ‘Abd bin Zam’ah said, “He is my brother; he was born on my father’s slave woman’s bed.” So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The child will belong to the one on whose bed he was born, while for the adulterer there is stoning.” Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Mother of the Believers, Lady Sawdah bint Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with her): “Observe veil from Ibn Zam’ah,” because Ibn Zam’ah resembled ‘Utbah in appearance. After that, Lady Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) did not see Ibn Zam’ah until her death.
