It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on the twenty-fifth of Dhu al-Qa'dah (from Madinah to Makkah) with the intention of Hajj only. When we reached near Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered: "Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him should perform Tawaf of the House of Allah and Safa and Marwah, and then come out of Ihram." Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: On the Day of Sacrifice, beef came to us. I asked: What is this? The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) informed that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives. Yahya (may Allah have mercy on him), the narrator of the hadith, says: I narrated this hadith to Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him), and he said: By Allah, a completely authentic hadith has reached you.
