حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَرْبَعًا , وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " , قَالَ : وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ : بَاتَ بِهَا حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, led a four-unit prayer in Madinah, then began his journey from Madinah and performed two units of the Asr prayer at the place of Dhu’l-Hulayfah. The narrator says: I think Sayyiduna Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, also said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, spent the night at the place of Dhu’l-Hulayfah until morning came.
