We have previously narrated through Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "(If a person in ihram kills) a pigeon, (the penalty for it) is a sheep; none of it is to be eaten, rather it is to be given in charity."
And it has reached us from him, concerning a man who has intercourse with his wife before the Tawaf (al-Ziyarah): "Slaughter a fat she-camel and feed it to the poor."
And it has reached us from Tawus and Sa'id bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on them both) that they both said: "(A person in ihram) should not eat from the compensation (animal) for game, nor from the expiation (animal)."

Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me at the time of al-Hudaybiyah while I was kindling a fire under my cooking pot, and lice were falling onto my face. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do these lice not trouble you?" I said: Yes! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shave (the hair of) your head, and fast three days, or feed six poor people, or offer a sacrifice." Ayyub said: I do not know with which of these he began.
