Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), describing the Hajj of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says that he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the place of slaughter and slaughtered 63 camels, and gave the rest to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who slaughtered them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) made him a partner in his sacrificial animals. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that a piece of meat be taken from every sacrificial camel; it was put in a pot and cooked, and they both ate of its meat and drank of its broth. Then he proceeded to the House (the Ka'bah).

Miqsam narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a hundred camels during Hajj. He (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered 60 of them with his own hand, and gave orders concerning the rest, and they were slaughtered. Then a piece of meat was taken from each sacrificial camel, and they were gathered in a pot; he (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it and sipped of its broth. It was said to Muhammad (bin Abd al-Rahman, the narrator): So that he would have eaten from all of them? Muhammad said: Yes.
