أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، يَعْنِي الشَّيْبَانِيَّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ح وَأنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا ⦗٣٩٣⦘ أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " وَقَفْتُ هَا هُنَا بِعَرَفَةَ وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ، وَوَقَفْتُ هَا هُنَا بِجَمْعٍ، وَجَمْعٌ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ، وَنَحَرْتُ هَا هُنَا وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ فَانْحَرُوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I stood here at Arafah, and all of Arafah is a place of standing; I stood here at Muzdalifah, and all of Muzdalifah is a place of standing; and I slaughtered (my sacrifice) here, and all of Mina is a place of slaughter; so slaughter at your lodgings."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " كُلُّ عَرَفَةَ مَوْقِفٌ، وَكُلُّ مُزْدَلِفَةَ مَوْقِفٌ وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ، وَكُلُّ فِجَاجِ مَكَّةَ طَرِيقٌ وَمَنْحَرٌ " قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ: أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ بَلَدِهِ الْمَدِينَةِ ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of Arafah is a place of standing, all of Muzdalifah is a place of standing, all of Mina is a place of slaughter, and all the mountain paths of Makkah are a road and a place of slaughter."
Ya'qub said: Usamah bin Zayd is, according to the people of his city, Madinah, thiqah (trustworthy) and reliable.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " مَنَاحِرُ الْبُدْنِ بِمَكَّةَ وَلَكِنَّهَا نُزِّهَتْ عَنِ الدِّمَاءِ وَمِنًى مِنْ مَكَّةَ ".
Ata narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the place for slaughtering camels is Makkah, but it has been kept clean of blood, and Mina too is part of Makkah.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الْفَقِيهُ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ بِهَا، أنا أَبُو سَهْلٍ بِشْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ الْحَذَّاءُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا النَّحْرُ بِمَكَّةَ وَلَكِنْ نُزِّهَتْ عَنِ الدِّمَاءِ " قَالَ: ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْقَائِلُ وَمَكَّةُ مِنْ مِنًى.
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the place of slaughter is in fact Makkah, but it has been kept clean of blood; and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that Makkah too is part of Mina.
قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، كَانَ يَنْحَرُ بِمَكَّةَ وَأَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَنْحَرْ بِمَكَّةَ كَانَ يَنْحَرُ بِمِنًى ".
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to slaughter camels in Makkah, but Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not slaughter in Makkah; rather, he used to slaughter in Mina.
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، أنا أَبُو سَهْلٍ، أنا أَحْمَدُ، ثنا عَلِيٌّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، " أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَنْحَرُ بِالْمَنْحَرِ ".
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to slaughter at the place of slaughter (al-manhar).
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، ثنا ⦗٣٩٤⦘ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: يَعْنِي مَنْحَرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَقَدْ رُوِّينَا فِيمَا مَضَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعُمَرِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ " أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَنْحَرُ بِمَكَّةَ عِنْدَ الْمَرْوَةِ وَيَنْحَرُ بِمِنًى عِنْدَ الْمَنْحَرِ ".
The like of it is narrated from Ubaydullah bin Umar; Ubaydullah said: That is, the place of slaughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
(b) Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to slaughter his sacrifice in Makkah near al-Marwah, and in Mina at the place of slaughter.
