Al-Qasim narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I used to make the garlands for the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with my own hand; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would mark them and garland them, then send them to the House of Allah and stay in Madinah. Nothing that was lawful for him (peace and blessings be upon him) became forbidden to him.

Hisham bin Urwah narrated from his father that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I used to make the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); then he would send them while he himself remained resident, and he did not avoid any of the things that a person in ihram avoids. It had reached her that Ziyad bin Abi Sufyan had sent a sacrificial animal and stripped off his clothes (as a person in ihram does), so she said: Did he have a Ka'bah to circumambulate? For we do not know of anyone for whom clothes become forbidden and then become lawful for him until he circumambulates the Ka'bah.

Amrah bint Abd al-Rahman (may Allah have mercy on her) said that Ziyad wrote to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "Whoever sends a sacrificial animal, everything that is forbidden to a pilgrim becomes forbidden to him until the sacrifice is slaughtered; and I have sent my sacrificial animal, so write your ruling to me or give instructions to the one with the sacrificial animal." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The matter is not as Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) has said. I made the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with my own hand, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) garlanded them with his own hands, then he sent his sacrificial animals with my father, and nothing that Allah had made lawful for him became forbidden to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until the sacrifice was slaughtered."

Al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The first who removed the darkness from people and made the Sunnah clear to them (in this matter) was Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) and Amrah bint Abd al-Rahman bin Sa'd bin Zurarah (may Allah have mercy on her) informed him that Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I used to make the garlands for the sacrificial animals (hady) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he would send his sacrifice off garlanded while he himself remained resident in Madinah, and then he would not avoid anything until his sacrifice was slaughtered. When this statement of Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reached the people, they accepted her statement and abandoned the fatwa of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
