Ali bin al-Madini (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I used to think that this was among the authentic hadith of Ibn Ishaq, but it turned out that he had concealed its source (tadlis): Muhammad bin Ishaq said: Someone whom I do not suspect narrated it to me from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both). Ali said: So the hadith is mudtarib (inconsistent).

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed a camel that had belonged to Abu Jahl; in its nose there was a nose-ring of silver.
This chain is sahih (authentic), except that they hold that Jarir bin Hazim took it from Muhammad bin Ishaq and then concealed it (tadlis); if Jarir's hearing from Ibn Abi Najih is established in it, the hadith becomes sahih. And Allah knows best.
