Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Fasting is for the one who performs tamattu' Hajj and does not find a sacrificial animal, from the time he says the talbiyah for Hajj until the Day of Arafah; and whoever could not fast in those days should fast during the days of Mina.
Hadith Reference
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that there is no concession to fast during the days of Tashriq except for the one "who does not find a sacrificial animal."
This is the correct version, with this wording and with the wording of Malik's hadith mentioned earlier.
Hadith Reference
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the one performing tamattu' Hajj a concession: "When he does not find a sacrificial animal and was also unable to fast beforehand, he may fast during the days of Tashriq."
Yahya bin Sallam narrated it thus, and he is not strong.
Hadith Reference
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says about the saying of Allah Almighty, "(He should fast) three days during Hajj" [Surah al-Baqarah: 196]: one day before the Day of Tarwiyah, one day on the Day of Tarwiyah, and one day after it.
Hadith Reference
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If the fasts are missed, he should keep them after the days of Tashriq.
(b) It is reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he will fast during the days of Tashriq if he has missed the fasting.
(c) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he will fast while in the state of ihram.
The hadith of Ibn Umar and Aishah is mawsul (connected), while the hadith of Muhammad bin Ali from Ali is munqati' (its chain is broken). And Allah knows best.

A man of Banu Sulaym named Khufaf asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) what is meant by "three days during Hajj and seven when you return" [Surah al-Baqarah: 196]. He said: On returning home.
The Shaykh said: There is disagreement about his name: one view is this name, another is Abu al-Khufaf, and a third view is that his name is Hibban al-Sulami.
Hadith Reference
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A man may keep performing tawaf of the House of Allah as long as he is not in ihram, until he says the talbiyah for Hajj. When he sets out for Arafah, if any sacrificial animal, a camel, a cow or a goat, is easily available to him, well and good; and if none is available, he should fast three days before the Day of Arafah; and if the last of the three days falls on the Day of Arafah, there is no harm in that either.
Hadith Reference
A man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: I have combined Umrah with Hajj. He asked: Do you have silver? He said: I have forty dirhams. He said: Nothing of it will be left over: ten dirhams' worth of fodder your mount will eat, ten you will use as provisions for the journey, ten will be spent on your clothing and the like, and ten you will spend on your companions.
