It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his journeys, until when we reached al-Bayda' or Dhat al-Jaysh, my necklace was lost. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed there to search for it, and the people stayed with him, while they were not at (a place of) water and had no water with them. The people came to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "Do you not see what Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) has done? She has made the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the people stay, while they are not at (a place of) water and have no water with them." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) came while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping with his blessed head on my thigh. He said: "You have held back the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the people, while they are not at water and have no water with them." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) rebuked me and said what Allah willed him to say, and he kept poking me in my side with his hand, yet I did not move because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had his blessed head on my thigh. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) slept until they reached the morning without water. Then Allah Almighty revealed the verse of tayammum: "Then perform tayammum with clean earth" [Surah al-Nisa': 43]. Sayyiduna Usayd bin Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O family of Abu Bakr, this is not the first of your blessings." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Then when we raised the camel on which I had been (riding), we found the necklace beneath it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he came from al-Juruf to a place called al-Mirbad. He performed tayammum, wiping his face and hands, and prayed Asr. Then he entered Madinah while the sun was still high, and he did not repeat the prayer.
It has also been narrated with a connected chain from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but that is not mahfuz (preserved).
