(a) Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution washing each part once, then said: "This is the ablution without which prayer is not accepted." Then he performed ablution washing each part twice, then said: "This is the ablution of the one who will be given a double reward." Then he performed ablution washing each part three times, then said: "This is my ablution and the ablution of the Prophets before me."
(b) In the hadith of Abdullah bin Sulayman it is: without it Allah does not accept prayer; and he said: "Allah will give him a double reward."
This hadith, by this route, is narrated only by al-Musayyab bin Wadih, and he is not strong.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water and performed ablution washing each part once, then said: "This is the ablution without which Allah does not accept prayer." Then he called for water and performed ablution washing each part twice, and said: "This is the ablution of the one who will be given a double reward." Then he called for water and performed ablution washing each part three times, then said: "This is my ablution and the ablution of the Prophets before me."
It has likewise been narrated from Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd al-Ammi from his father, and others contradicted the two of them; and they are not strong in narration. And Allah knows best.
