Bayhaqi 9770 — Those who disliked calling one who has not performed
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، ثنا عَبْدَانُ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أُرَاهُ رَفَعَهُ، قَالَ: " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ: إِنِّي صَرُورَةٌ " قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ إِلَّا مُعَاوِيَةُ.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates as marfu' (from the Prophet): "None of you should say: I am bound (sarurah)."
Sulayman bin Ahmad said: No one narrated it from Sufyan as marfu' except Mu'awiyah.
