أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، وَأُمُّهُ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَتِ اللَّيْلَةُ الَّتِي يَدُورُ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسَاءَ لَيْلَةِ النَّحْرِ، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدِي فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ وَهْبُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ، وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ آلِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ مُتَقَمِّصَيْنِ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَفَضْتُمَا؟ " قَالَا: لَا، قَالَ: " فَانْزِعَا قَمِيصَكُمَا " فَنَزَعَاهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ وَهْبٌ: وَلِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ: " هَذَا يَوْمٌ أُرَخِّصُ لَكُمْ فِيهِ إِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ وَنَحَرْتُمْ هَدْيًا إِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فَقَدْ حَلَلْتُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حُرِمْتُمْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا النِّسَاءَ حَتَّى تَطُوفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ، فَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُمْ وَلَمْ تُفِيضُوا صِرْتُمْ حُرُمًا كَمَا كُنْتُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ حَتَّى تَطُوفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ ".
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: On the night of sacrifice it was the turn of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to be with me, and Wahb bin Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) and another man from the family of Abu Umayyah came to me, both wearing shirts. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the two of them: "Have you performed Tawaf al-Ifadah?" They said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then take off these shirts of yours." So they took them off. Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! For what reason? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On this day Allah Almighty has granted you a concession: when you have stoned, and slaughtered your sacrifice if you have one, then you are released from everything that had been forbidden to you except women, until you perform tawaf of the House. So if evening comes and you have not performed the Ifadah, you will become muhrim (in the state of ihram) again just as you were before, until you perform Tawaf al-Ifadah."
