أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قَزَعَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ وَاسْمُهُ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ حُجَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ الْمَكِّيِّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ: الرَّجُلُ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا نَظَرَ الْكَعْبَةَ؟ فَقَالَ: مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا إِلَّا الْيَهُودَ، خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفَكُنَّا نَفْعَلُهُ؟.
Muhajir al-Makki says: I said to Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both): Should a man raise his hands when he sees the Ka'bah? He said: I do not think anyone did this except the Jews. We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); did we do that?
