أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الشِّعْرُ كَلَامٌ حَسَنُهُ كَحَسَنِ الْكَلَامِ، وَقَبِيحُهُ كَقَبِيحِهِ " هَذَا مُنْقَطِعٌ.
Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Poetry is speech: good poetry is like good speech, and bad poetry is like bad speech."
