أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ لَيْسَ فِيهَا عُمْرَةٌ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The months of Hajj are well known" [Surah al-Baqarah: 197]; there is no Umrah in them.
