أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنبأ جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ: إِنِّي أَهُمُّ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ الْعُمْرَةَ وَالْحَجَّ فَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ النَّخَعِيُّ: وَلَكِنْ أَبَاكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَهُمُّ بِذَلِكَ وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِأَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِالرَّبَذَةِ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا كَانَتْ لَنَا خَاصَّةً دُونَكُمْ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ.
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Sha'tha' (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I said to Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibrahim al-Taymi (may Allah have mercy on him) that I want to combine Hajj and Umrah. Al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: But your father did not intend that. Al-Taymi (may Allah have mercy on him), narrating from his father, said that he passed by Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) at al-Rabadhah and mentioned this to him, and he said: This was a concession only for us, not for you.
