أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ الْهُنَائِيِّ، وَاسْمُهُ حيَوَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ لِنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ " قَالَ: " أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟ "، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ قَالَ: " وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ "، قَالَ: " أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مُقَطَّعًا؟ "، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُقْرَنَ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ؟ "، قَالُوا: اللهُمَّ لَا، قَالَ: وَاللهِ إِنَّهَا لَمَعَهُنَّ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ بَرَّازٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ نَسِيتُمْ وَرَوَاهُ مَطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ فِي مُتْعَةِ الْحَجِّ.
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to a group of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them): Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid saddle-cloths of leopard skin? They said: Yes. He said: And I too bear witness. He said: Do you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade saddle-cloths of leopard skin? They said: Yes. He said: And I too bear witness. He said: Do you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing gold except in small pieces? They said: Yes. He said: Do you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade combining Hajj and Umrah? They said: No. He said: By Allah, it too is (forbidden) along with them.
