Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This is the document of the zakah dues: "On twenty-four camels or fewer, for every five there is one goat. On what is above that up to thirty-five, a bint makhad. If there is no bint makhad, then a male ibn labun. Above that up to forty-five, a female bint labun. Above that up to sixty, a hiqqah fit to receive the stud camel. Above that up to seventy-five, a jadha'ah. If above that up to ninety, two bint labun. If above that up to one hundred and twenty, two hiqqahs fit to receive the stud camel. Whatever exceeds that: on every forty a bint labun and on every fifty a hiqqah. On grazing sheep, when they are from forty up to one hundred and twenty, one sheep. If more than that, up to two hundred, two sheep. If more, up to three hundred, three sheep. Whatever exceeds that: on every hundred one sheep. In zakah, neither an old animal, nor a defective one, nor a billy-goat is to be taken, unless the collector himself wishes to take it. Flocks grazing separately are not to be combined, nor flocks grazing together separated, for fear of zakah. Those who are partners will settle equally between themselves. On silver the due is a quarter of a tenth, when the silver of any of you reaches five uqiyah."
This is the copy of the document of Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) according to which he used to collect zakah. Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We adopt all of this.
