أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ فَطَنٍ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَنَحْنُ نَنْتَظِرُ جِنَازَةَ أُخْتِ أَبَانَ بِنْتِ عُثْمَانَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ يُخَالِفُهُ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَلْفَاظِ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا بَلَغَ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَوْلُ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَتْ: " إِنَّكُمْ لَتُحَدِّثُونَ عَنْ غَيْرِ كَاذِبَيْنِ وَلَا مُكَذَّبَيْنِ وَلَكِنَّ السَّمْعَ يُخْطِئُ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ رُشَيْدٍ ⦗١٢٣⦘.
Abdullah bin Abi Mulaykah said: We were sitting with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), waiting for the funeral of the sister of Aban, the daughter of Uthman, and he narrated this hadith.
Al-Qasim bin Muhammad said: When the statement of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reached Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: You are narrating from people who are neither liars nor accused of lying, but hearing can err.
