وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، فِي آخَرِينَ قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا وَذُكِرَ لَهَا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحِيِّ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكْذِبْ وَلَكِنَّهُ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ نَسِيَ إِنَّمَا مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى يَهُودِيَّةٍ وَهِيَ يَبْكِي عَلَيْهَا أَهْلُهَا فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُمْ لَيَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهَا "..
Amrah (may Allah have mercy on her) said that she heard Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when it was mentioned to her that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the deceased is punished because of the weeping of the living. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: He certainly does not lie, but he has made a mistake or forgotten. He (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a Jewish woman whose family were weeping over her, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are weeping over her, and she is being punished in the grave."
