Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The women wept over Sayyidah Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umar, leave them." Then he said: "Beware of the shrieking of Satan; for whatever comes from the eye and the heart is mercy, and whatever comes from the tongue and the hand is from Satan." He said: Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) was weeping at the edge of the grave of Sayyidah Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was wiping the tears from her face with his hand, or he said: "with the cloth."
Even though this is not strong, his (peace and blessings be upon him) statement in the established hadith, that Allah Almighty does not punish for the tears of the eyes nor for the grief of the heart, but rather punishment comes because of this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed to his tongue, or He shows mercy, indicates its meaning and testifies to its soundness.
