Book of Funerals
باب: من بلغ ستين سنة فقد أعذر الله إليه في العمر، لقوله عز وجل أولم نعمركم ما يتذكر فيه من تذكر، وجاءكم النذير
Chapter: Whoever reaches sixty years, Allah has left him no excuse regarding his lifespan, because of His saying: "Did We not give you lives long enough for whoever would remember to remember? And the warner had come to you"

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَجَلِيُّ الْمُقْرِئُ بِالْكُوفَةِ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَارِمٍ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ عَمَّرَهُ اللهُ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً فَقَدْ أَعْذَرَ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْعُمُرِ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whomever Allah, the Glorified, grants a life of sixty years, He has left him no excuse regarding his lifespan."
