Book of Funerals
باب: من بلغ ستين سنة فقد أعذر الله إليه في العمر، لقوله عز وجل أولم نعمركم ما يتذكر فيه من تذكر، وجاءكم النذير
Chapter: Whoever reaches sixty years, Allah has left him no excuse regarding his lifespan, because of His saying: "Did We not give you lives long enough for whoever would remember to remember? And the warner had come to you"
Bayhaqi 6519 — Whoever reaches sixty years, Allah has left

وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ قَالَا: أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَاكِهِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي مَسَرَّةَ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ سِتُّونَ سَنَةً فَقَدْ أَعْذَرَ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْعُمُرِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever reaches sixty years of life, Allah Almighty has left him no excuse regarding his lifespan."
