أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فِي مَسْجِدِ ⦗٣٨٠⦘ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُضْطَجِعًا رَافِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى، يَتَغَنَّى النَّصْبَ ". هَكَذَا قَالَهُ يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ وَغَيْرُهُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ: وَالْحَدِيثُ كَمَا قَالَ الْقَوْمُ، غَيْرَ مَعْمَرٍ.
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Nawfal reported that he saw Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) lying in the Prophet's Mosque with one foot over the other, and he was also singing in a melodious tune.
