وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الرَّزَّازُ بِبَغْدَادَ، ثنا أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَوْدِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: " تَزَوَّجَنِي "، يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " لِسِتِّ سِنِينَ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ نَزَلْنَا السُّنْحَ فِي بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ "، قَالَتْ: " فَإِنِّي لَأَرْجِحُ بَيْنَ عِذْقَيْنِ وَأَنَا ابْنَةُ تِسْعٍ، إِذْ جَاءَتْ أُمِّي فَأَنْزَلَتْنِي، ثُمَّ مَشَتْ بِي حَتَّى انْتَهَتْ بِي إِلَى الْبَابِ وَأَنَا أُنْهِجُ، فَمَسَحَتْ وَجْهِي بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ، وَفَرَقَتْ جُمَيْمَةً كَانَتْ لِي، وَدَخَلَتْ بِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي الْبَيْتِ رِجَالٌ وَنِسَاءٌ، فَقَالَتْ: هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُكَ، فَبَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِيهِمْ، وَبَارَكْ لَهُمْ فِيكَ، وَقَامَ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ وَخَرَجُوا، وَبَنَى بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ".
Yahya bin Abd al-Rahman bin Hatib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I was married to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the age of six. When we came to Madinah, we stayed at al-Sunh among Banu al-Harith bin al-Khazraj. I was swinging between two date-palm trunks, and I was nine years old at that time, when suddenly my mother came, made me get down, then walked with me until she reached the door with me, while I was out of breath. My mother wiped my face with a little water, parted my short hair, and took me in to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). In the house there were men and women, and she said: 'These are your family; may Allah bless you in them and bless them in you.' The men and women got up and left, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) consummated the marriage with me."
