أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الدَّارِمِيُّ، مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَمْلَاهُ عَلَيْنَا، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِسِتِّ سِنِينَ، وَبَنَى بِي وَأَنَا ابْنَةُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ "، قَالَتْ: " فَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَوُعِكْتُ شَهْرًا، فَوَافَى شَعْرِي جُمَيْمَةً، فَأَتَتْنِي أُمُّ رُومَانَ وَأَنَا عَلَى أُرْجُوحَةٍ وَمَعِي صَوَاحِبِي، فَصَرَخَتْ بِي، فَأَتَيْتُهَا وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُرَادُ بِي، فَأَخَذَتْ بِيَدِي فَأَوْقَفَتْنِي عَلَى الْبَابِ، فَقُلْتُ: هَذِهِ، هَذِهِ، حَتَّى ذَهَبَ نَفَسِي، فَأَدْخَلَتْنِي بَيْتًا، فَإِذَا نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقُلْنَ: عَلَى الْخَيْرِ وَالْبَرَكَةِ، وعَلَى خَيْرِ طَائِرٍ، فَأَسْلَمَتْنِي إِلَيْهِنَّ، فَغَسَلْنَ رَأْسِي وَأَصْلَحْنَنِي، فَلَمْ يَرُعْنِي إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَسْلَمْنَنِي إِلَيْهِ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ.
Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me when I was 6 years old, and I was sent to him as a bride when I was 9 years old. When I came to Madinah, I had a fever for a month, (and then) my hair grew to the length of a jummah (hanging down to the shoulders). Umm Ruman (may Allah be pleased with her) came to me while I was on a swing with my friends. She called me and I came to her, not knowing what she intended. She took me by the hand and brought me to the threshold of the door. I said: What is this? until the fear in my heart subsided. She took me into a house where there were women of the Ansar, and they said: May there be goodness and blessing for you. She handed me over to those women. They washed my head and got me ready. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me, and those women handed me over to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
