Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned breach of trust in the spoils of war and regarded it as a very great sin; then he said: "Let each of you beware lest he come on the Day of Resurrection with a camel riding on his neck, and say: O Muhammad! Help me. I will reply: I cannot do anything for you; I had conveyed the message to you. And a man will come with a neighing horse on his neck and say: O Muhammad! Help me. I will say: I cannot do anything for you; I had conveyed the message. And a man will come on the Day of Resurrection to the plain of gathering with pieces of cloth on his neck, and say: O Muhammad! Help me. I will say: I cannot do anything for you; I had conveyed the message to you."
