Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin al-Khattab said: Whenever some trouble or calamity befell Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), he would say: I was afflicted with (the loss of) Zayd bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and I was patient. He saw the killer of his brother Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) and said to him: Woe to you! You killed my brother; whenever the morning breeze blows, I remember (my) brother.
