وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّقَ بَعْضَ نَخْلِ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ، وَقَطَعَ بَعْضًا"، وَقِيلَ فِي ذَلِكَ شِعْرٌ:.
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) burned some of the date palms of Banu al-Nadir and cut down others. About this, the following verse of poetry was also said:
For the chiefs of Banu Lu'ayy, burning the spreading palm trees at a place called al-Buwayrah became an easy thing. You left your cooking pots with nothing in them, while the people's pots were boiling over.
