It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman of Banu Makhzum used to borrow goods and then deny it, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that her hand be cut off. (The narrator then mentioned the hadith about the intercession of Usamah bin Zayd and the Prophet's disapproval of it,) and at its end he said: So he cut off the hand of the Makhzumi woman.
