فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمٍ فِي الْمُرْتَدَّةِ، فَقَالَ: " أَمَّا مِنْ ثِقَةٍ فَلَا.
Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Sufyan (may Allah have mercy on him) about the hadith of Asim concerning the female apostate, and he said: This narration is not from a trustworthy narrator.
