Bayhaqi 10094 — Those who did not hold that one prevented by illness

وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، أنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ كَانَ قَدِيمًا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " خَرَجْتُ إِلَى مَكَّةَ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُ بِالطَّرِيقِ كُسِرَتْ فَخِذِي، فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَبِهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَالنَّاسُ فَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ لِي أَحَدٌ فِي أَنْ أَحِلَّ فَأَقَمْتُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ سَبْعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ ثُمَّ حَلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ ".
Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani narrates from an old man of the people of Basrah that he said: I set out for Makkah, and while I was still on the way my thigh was broken. I sent word to Makkah, where Abdullah bin Abbas and Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and other people were, but none of them gave me permission to exit ihram. So I stayed at that watering place for seven months, then I exited ihram by performing an Umrah.
