Bayhaqi 10027 — What sea game the muhrim may kill
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا} [المائدة: 96].
Allah Almighty says: "Hunting the game of the sea and its food have been made lawful for you, as a benefit for you and for travellers; and hunting the game of the land has been forbidden to you as long as you are in the state of ihram." [Surah al-Ma'idah: 96]
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: {صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ} [المائدة: ٩٦] قَالَ: " طَعَامُهُ مَا قَذَفَ ".
Abu Mijlaz narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning "the game of the sea and its food" [Surah al-Ma'idah: 96] that its food means what the sea casts out.
