" هل تضارون في رؤية الشمس في الظهيرة ليست في سحابة؟ هل تضارون في رؤية القمر ليلة البدر ليس في سحابة؟ فوالذي نفسي بيده لا تضارون في رؤية ربكم عز وجل إلا كما تضارون في رؤية أحدهما فيلقى العبد فيقول: أي فل ألم أكرمك وأسودك وأزوجك وأسخر لك الخيل والإبل وأذرك ترأس وتربع؟ فيقول: بلى أي رب فيقول: أفظننت أنك ملاقي؟ فيقول: لا فيقول: إني أنساك كما نسيتني; ثم يلقى الثاني فيقول له: أي فل؟ ألم أكرمك وأسودك وأزوجك وأسخر لك الخيل والإبل وأذرك ترأس وتربع؟ فيقول: بلى أي رب! فيقول: أفظننت أنك ملاقي؟ فيقول: لا فيقول: إني أنساك كما نسيتني; ثم يلقى الثالث فيقول له مثل ذلك فيقول: رب آمنت بك وبكتابك وبرسلك وصليت وصمت وتصدقت ويثني بخير ما استطاع فيقول: هاهنا إذن ثم يقال: الآن نبعث شاهدا عليك ويتفكر في نفسه: من ذا الذي يشهد علي؟ فيختم على فيه ويقال لفخذه: انطقي فتنطق فخذه ولحمه وعظامه بعمله وذلك ليعذر من نفسه وذلك المنافق الذي يسخط الله عليه "
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday, when there is no cloud? Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon, when there is no cloud? By the One in whose Hand is my soul! You will have no more difficulty in seeing your Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, than you have in seeing either of them. Then the servant will be met, and Allah will say: 'O so-and-so, did I not honour you, make you a chief, get you married, subject horses and camels to you, and let you lead and live in ease?' He will say: 'Of course, O my Lord.' Allah will say: 'Did you think that you would meet Me?' He will say: 'No.' Allah will say: 'Then I will forget you just as you forgot Me.' Then the second will be met, and Allah will say to him too: 'O so-and-so, did I not honour you, make you a chief, get you married, subject horses and camels to you, and let you lead and live in ease?' He will say: 'Of course, O my Lord.' Allah will say: 'Did you think that you would meet Me?' He will say: 'No.' Allah will say: 'Then I will forget you just as you forgot Me.' Then the third will be met, and Allah will say the same to him. He will say: 'O my Lord, I believed in You, in Your Book and in Your Messengers; I prayed, fasted and gave charity,' and he will praise himself as much as he can. Allah will say: 'Very well, stay right here.' Then it will be said: 'Now We will send a witness against you,' and he will think to himself: 'Who is it that will testify against me?' Then a seal will be placed on his mouth, and it will be said to his thigh: 'Speak!' So his thigh, his flesh and his bones will testify to his deeds. That will be so that he cannot offer any excuse for himself, and that is the hypocrite with whom Allah is displeased."
