" هل تمارون في القمر ليلة البدر ليس دونه سحاب؟ هل تمارون في رؤية الشمس ليس دونها سحاب؟ فإنكم ترونه كذلك يحشر الله الناس يوم القيامة فيقول: من كان يعبد شيئا فليتبعه فيتبع من كان يعبد الشمس الشمس ويتبع من كان يعبد القمر القمر ويتبع من كان يعبد الطواغيت الطواغيت وتبقى هذه الأمة فيها منافقوها; فيأتيهم الله في صورة غير صورته التي يعرفون فيقول: أنا ربكم فيقولون: نعوذ بالله منك هذا مكاننا حتى يأتينا ربنا فإذا جاءنا عرفناه فيأتيهم الله في صورته التي يعرفون فيقول: أنا ربكم فيقولون: أنت ربنا فيتبعونه; ويضرب الصراط بين ظهراني جهنم فأكون أول من يجوز من الرسل بأمته ولا يتكلم يومئذ أحد إلا الرسل وكلام الرسل يومئذ: اللهم سلم سلم وفي جهنم كلاليب مثل شوك السعدان غير أنه لا يعلم ما قدر عظمها إلا الله تخطف الناس بأعمالهم فمنهم من يوبق بعمله ومنهم من يخردل ثم ينجوحتى إذا فرغ الله من القضاء بين العباد وأراد أن يخرج برحمته من أراد من أهل النار أمر الملائكة أن يخرجوا من النار من كان لا يشرك بالله شيئا ممن يقول لا إله إلا الله فيخرجونهم ويعرفونهم بآثار السجود وحرم الله على النار أن تأكل آثار السجود فيخرجون من النار وقد امتحشوا فيصب عليهم ماء الحياة فينبتون كما تنبت الحبة في حميل السيل ثم يفرغ الله من القضاء بين العباد ويبقى رجل بين الجنة والنار وهو آخر أهل النار دخولا الجنة مقبلا بوجهه قبل النار فيقول: يا رب اصرف وجهي عن النار فقد قشبني ريحها وأحرقني ذكاؤها فيقول: هل عسيت إن فعل ذلك بك أن تسأل غير ذلك فيقول: لا وعزتك فيعطي الله ما يشاء من عهد وميثاق، فيصرف الله وجهه عن النار فإذا أقبل به على الجنة ورأى بهجتها سكت ما شاء الله أن يسكت ثم قال: يا رب! قدمني عند باب الجنة فيقول الله: أليس قد أعطيت العهد والميثاق أن لا تسأل غير الذي كنت سألت؟ فيقول: يا رب لا أكون أشقى خلقك فيقول: فما عسيت إن أعطيتك ذلك أن لا تسأل غيره؟ فيقول لا وعزتك لا أسألك غير ذلك فيعطى ربه ما شاء من عهد وميثاق فيقدمه إلى باب الجنة فإذا بلغ بابها فرأى زهرتها وما فيها من النضرة والسرور ; فيسكت ما شاء الله أن يسكت فيقول: يا رب أدخلني الجنة فيقول الله: ويحك يا ابن آدم! ما أغدرك! أليس قد أعطيت العهد والميثاق أن لا تسأل غير الذي أعطيت؟ فيقول: يا رب لا تجعلني أشقى خلقك فيضحك الله منه ثم يأذن له في دخول الجنة فيقول: تمن فيتمني حتى إذا انقطعت أمنيته قال الله تعالى: زد من كذا وكذا أقبل يذكره ربه حتى إذا انتهت به الأماني قال الله عز وجل: لك ذلك ومثله معه "
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you have any doubt about the moon on the night of the full moon when there is no cloud in front of it? Do you have any doubt about seeing the sun when there is no cloud in front of it? Indeed, you will see Him likewise. Allah Almighty will gather the people on the Day of Resurrection and will say: 'Whoever used to worship something, let him follow it.' So whoever used to worship the sun will follow the sun, whoever used to worship the moon will follow the moon, and whoever used to worship the false deities (taghut) will follow the false deities. And this Ummah will remain, with its hypocrites among it. Allah Almighty will come to them in a form other than the form they recognise, and He will say: 'I am your Lord.' They will say: 'We seek refuge in Allah from you. We will stay here until our Lord comes to us, and when He comes to us we will recognise Him.' Then Allah Almighty will come to them in the form they recognise, and He will say: 'I am your Lord.' They will say: 'You are our Lord,' and they will follow Him. The bridge will be laid across the middle of Hell, and I will be the first of the Messengers to cross it with his Ummah. On that day no one will speak except the Messengers, and the speech of the Messengers on that day will be: 'Allahumma sallim sallim' (O Allah, grant safety, grant safety). In Hell there will be hooks like the thorns of al-Sa'dan, except that no one knows the extent of their size except Allah. They will snatch people according to their deeds. Some of them will be destroyed because of their deeds, and some will be cut to pieces and then be saved. Then, when Allah has finished judging between the servants and wishes, out of His mercy, to bring out whomever He wills of the people of the Fire, He will command the angels to bring out of the Fire whoever did not associate anything with Allah and used to say 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah). They will bring them out and will recognise them by the marks of prostration, for Allah has forbidden the Fire to consume the marks of prostration. So they will come out of the Fire burnt to charcoal, and the Water of Life will be poured over them, and they will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood. Then Allah will finish judging between the servants, and one man will remain between Paradise and Hell; he will be the last of the people of the Fire to enter Paradise, with his face turned towards Hell. He will say: 'O my Lord, turn my face away from the Fire, for its smell has sickened me and its flame has scorched me.' Allah will say: 'If I do that for you, will you ask for anything else?' He will say: 'No, by Your might.' So he will give Allah whatever covenants and pledges He wills, and Allah will turn his face away from the Fire. Then, when he is turned towards Paradise and sees its splendour, he will remain silent for as long as Allah wills. Then he will say: 'O my Lord, bring me close to the gate of Paradise.' Allah will say: 'Did you not give covenants and pledges that you would not ask for anything other than what you had asked?' He will say: 'O my Lord, let me not become the most wretched of Your creation.' Allah will say: 'If I give you this, will you not ask for anything else?' He will say: 'No, by Your might! I will not ask You for anything other than this.' So he will give his Lord whatever covenants and pledges He wills, and He will bring him to the gate of Paradise. Then, when he reaches its gate and sees its splendour and the freshness and joy within it, he will remain silent for as long as Allah wills, then he will say: 'O my Lord, admit me into Paradise.' Allah will say: 'Woe to you, O son of Adam! How treacherous you are! Did you not give covenants and pledges that you would not ask for anything other than what you were given?' He will say: 'O my Lord, do not make me the most wretched of Your creation.' So Allah will laugh at him, then permit him to enter Paradise. Allah will say: 'Make a wish.' So he will wish until, when his wishes are exhausted, Allah Almighty will say: 'Ask for such-and-such as well,' and his Lord will keep reminding him, until, when his wishes come to an end, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: 'All of that is yours, and as much again along with it.'"
