«إني تارك فيكم خليفتين: كتاب الله حبل ممدود ما بين السماء والأرض وعترتي أهل بيتي وإنهما لن يتفرقا حتى يردا علي الحوض»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I am leaving among you two successors (weighty things): one is the Book of Allah, a rope stretched out (or extended) between the heaven and the earth, and the other is my family, that is, the people of my household. And surely the two will never separate from each other until they come to me at the Pond of Kawthar."
