«إن جبريل أتاني حين رأيت فناداني فأخفاه منك فأجبته فأخفيته منك ولم يكن يدخل عليك وقد وضعت ثيابك وظننت أن قد رقدت فكرهت أن أوقظك وخشيت أن تستوحشي فقال: إن ربك يأمرك أن تأتي أهل البقيع فتستغفر لهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Jibril came to me at the time you saw. He called me and hid it from you, and I answered him and hid it from you. He could not come in to you because you had taken off your clothes, and I thought you had fallen asleep, so I did not like to wake you, and I also feared that you would feel lonely (at my leaving). Then he (Jibril) said: 'Indeed, your Lord commands you to go to the people of al-Baqi' and seek forgiveness for them.'"
