«إن الله حرم عليكم الخمر والميسر والمزر والكوبة وكل مسكر حرام»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty has made unlawful for you wine, gambling, barley wine (al-mizr) and the drum (al-kubah), and every intoxicant is unlawful."
