«إن الصعيد الطيب طهور ما لم تجد الماء ولو إلى عشر حجج فإذا وجدت الماء فأمسه بشرتك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, clean earth is a means of purification as long as you do not find water, even if (you do not find water) for ten years. Then when you find water, apply it to your skin (that is, perform ghusl or wudu)."
