أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا مسدَّد، حدثنا بِشْر بن المفضَّل، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق، عن سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ضِرسُ الكافر يومَ القيامة مثلُ أُحدٍ، وعَرْضُ جلدِه سبعون ذراعًا، وعَضُدُه مثلُ البَيضاء، وفَخِذه مثلُ وَرِقانَ (3)، ومَقعَده من النار ما بيني وبين الرَّبَدَةِ (4).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه بهذه السِّياقة، إنما اتَّفقا على ذِكْرِ ضِرْس الكافر فقط (1)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the molar tooth of the disbeliever will be the size of (Mount) Uhud, the thickness of his skin will be seventy cubits, his upper arm will be the size of (Mount) Bayda', his thigh will be the size of (Mount) Wariqan, and his seat in Hell will be as large as the distance between me (in Madinah) and al-Rabadhah."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording; rather, they both agreed only on the mention of the disbeliever's molar tooth.

حدثنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن سليمان بن الحارث، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، أخبرنا شيبان عن الأعمش، عن أبي صالح، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إِنَّ غِلَظَ جلدِ الكافر اثنان وأربعون ذراعًا بذراع الجبَّار - وضرسُه مثلُ أُحُد" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. قال الشيخ أبو بكر ﵁: معنى قوله: "بذراع الجبَّار" أي: جبَّارٌ من جبابرة الآدميين ممَّن كان في القرون الأُولى ممَّن كان أعظمَ خَلقًا وأطولَ أعضاءً وذراعًا من إنسِنا (1).

Shaykh Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The meaning of his (peace and blessings be upon him) words "by the cubit of the Jabbar" is: a giant from among the giants of mankind who lived in the earliest generations, whose build was very large and whose limbs and forearms were longer than those of us humans.

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بَحْر بن نَصْر، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، عن [سعيد بن] (2) أبي هلال، عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المَقبُري، أنه سمع أبا هريرة يقول: إِنَّ ضِرسَ الكافر يومَ القيامة مثلُ أحد، ورأسه مثلُ البَيضاء، وفَخِذَه مثلُ وَرِقانَ، وغِلَظَ جلدِه سبعون ذراعًا، وإنَّ مجلسَه في النار كما بينَ المدينةِ والرَّبَذة. قال أبو هريرة: وكان يقال: بطنُه مثلُ بطن إضَمٍ (3). هذا إسناد صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يُخرجاه لتوقيفه على أبي هريرة ﵁.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: And it used to be said: "His belly will be the size of (the valley of) Idam."
