Every disease has a cure; when the cure reaches the disease, healing occurs

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For every disease there is a medicine; so when the medicine reaches the disease, it is cured by the permission of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease (or he said: has not created) without sending down a cure for it (or he said: without creating a medicine for it); whoever came to know it knows it, and whoever remained ignorant of it remains ignorant of it, except for 'sam'." The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is 'sam'?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Death."
