أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا سعيد بن إياس الجُرَيري، عن أبي نَضْرة، عن أبي سعيد الخُدْري قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "يا أهلَ المدينة، لا تأكلوا لحمَ الأضاحيِّ فوقَ ثلاثةِ أيام"، فشكوا ذلك إلى النبيِّ ﷺ أن لهم عِيالًا وحَشَمًا وخَدَمًا، فقال: "كُلُوا وأَطْعِمُوا واحبِسُوا" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people of Madinah, do not eat the meat of the sacrificial animals for more than three days." Then the people complained about this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that they had (many) dependants, retinue and servants. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(Now) eat yourselves, feed others, and store it as well."
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 7760

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّغَاني، حدثنا أبو عامر العَقَدي، حدثنا زهير بن محمد، عن شَريك بن عبد الله بن أبي نَمِرٍ، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي سعيد الخُدْري، عن أبيه وعمِّه قَتَادة بن النُّعمان، أنَّ النبي ﷺ قال: "كُلُوا الأضاحيَّ وادَّخِروا" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. آخر كتاب الأضاحيّ [كتاب الذبائح] ﷽

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and his uncle Sayyiduna Qatadah bin al-Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat the meat of the sacrifice and store it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
