حدثنا أبو زكريا العَنْبري وأبو بكر بن جعفر المزكِّي وعبد الله بن سعد الحافظ وعلي بن عيسى الحيري، قالوا: حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن إبراهيم العَبْدي، حدثنا سليمان بن عبد الرحمن الدمشقي، حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم، حدثنا ابن جُريج، عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "مَن تَطَبَّبَ ولم يُعرَفْ منه طِبٌّ، فهو ضامِنٌ" (1). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, from his grandfather (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As, may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever practises medicine without being known for skill in medicine, he is liable (for any harm to life or property)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني معاوية بن صالح، عن عبد الرحمن بن جُبير بن نُفير، عن أبيه، عن عوف بن مالك الأشجعي قال: كُنَّا نَرْقي في الجاهلية، فقلنا: يا رسولَ الله، كيف ترى في ذلك؟ فقال: "اعرِضُوا عليَّ رُقَاكم، لا بأسَ بالرُّقَى ما لم يكن شِركٌ" (2). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We used to perform ruqyah (incantations) in the days of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), so we said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is your view on that?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Present your ruqyahs to me. There is no harm in ruqyah as long as it does not contain (any trace of) shirk."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
أخبرني عبيد الله بن محمد البَلْخي، حدثنا أبو إسماعيل محمد بن إسماعيل، حدثنا محمد بن وهب بن عطيّة السُّلَمي، حدثنا محمد بن حرب، حدثنا محمد بن الوليد الزُّبيدي، حدثنا الزُّهْري عن عُرْوة بن الزُّبير، عن زينب بنت أبي سَلَمة، عن أُمَّ سَلَمة: أنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ رأى في بيتها جاريةً في وجهها سَفْعةٌ، فقال: "استَرْقُوا لها، فإنَّ بها النَّظْرةَ" (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a girl in her house who had a yellowish or dark discoloration (saf'ah) on her face, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have ruqyah done for her, for she has been afflicted by the evil eye."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
