Use ithmid kohl, for it makes the hair grow and sharpens the eyesight

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make it your practice to use ithmid (antimony kohl), for it makes the hair grow and sharpens the eyesight."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Amr bin Yahya bin Umarah bin Abi Hasan informed; he said: Maryam bint Iyas bin al-Bukayr (who was the daughter of a Companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) narrated to me; she narrates from one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I think she was Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her and asked: "Do you have any dharirah (a fragrant powder)?" She said: Yes. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) called for it and placed it on a pimple that had appeared between two of the toes of his foot, then he made this supplication: 'Allahumma mutfi'a al-kabir, wa mukabbira al-saghir, atfi'ha 'anni' (O Allah, the One who extinguishes the big and makes the small grow big, extinguish it from me). And so the pimple disappeared.
