It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that Sayyidah Umm Qays bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) is the sister of Sayyiduna Ukkashah bin Mihsan. She was among the early Muslims in Makkah and emigrated to Madinah with her family. She lived on for a long time after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and narrated from him (peace and blessings be upon him).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), holding her hand, passed through one of the streets of Madinah and came to Baqi' al-Gharqad, and said: "O Umm Qays!" I said: Here I am, O Messenger of Allah, ready to obey you (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you see this graveyard?" I said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection Allah Almighty will raise from here seventy thousand people whose faces will shine like the full moon, and they will enter Paradise without reckoning." Then Sayyiduna Ukkashah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: And me too, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You too." Then another man stood up and asked the same, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ukkashah has beaten you to it."
