أخبرني أبو بكر الشافعي، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن غالب، حَدَّثَنَا موسى بن إسماعيل، حَدَّثَنَا حماد بن سَلَمة، أخبرنا أبو عمران الجَوْنِي، عن قيس بن زيد: أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ طلَّق حفصة بنت عمر، فدخل عليها خالاها قُدَامةُ وعثمانُ ابنا مَظْعون، فبكت وقالت: والله ما طلَّقني عن شَنيع، وجاء النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فقال: "قال لي جبريل ﵇: راجع حفصةَ، فإنَّها صوَّامة قوَّامة، وإنَّها زوجتُك في الجنة" (5).

It is narrated from Qays bin Zayd that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) divorced Sayyidah Hafsah bint Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and her two maternal uncles, Qudamah and Uthman, the sons of Maz'un, came to her. She wept and said: "By Allah! He (peace and blessings be upon him) did not divorce me because of any wrongdoing or disliked conduct." Just then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and said: "Jibril (peace be upon him) said to me: Take Hafsah back, for she fasts much and stands much in worship, and she is your wife in Paradise as well."

حَدَّثَنَا علي بن حَمْشاذَ، حَدَّثَنَا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي، حَدَّثَنَا مسلم بن إبراهيم، حَدَّثَنَا الحسن بن أبي جعفر، حَدَّثَنَا ثابت، عن أنس: أنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ طلَّق حفصةَ تطليقةً، فأتاه جبريلُ ﵊ فقال: يا محمدُ، طلَّقتَ حفصةَ وهي صوَّامة قوَّامة، وهي زوجتُك في الجنَّة؟! فراجَعَها (1). ذكر أم المؤمنين أمِّ سلمةَ بنت أبي أُميّة ﵂

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) one divorce. Then Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad! Have you divorced Hafsah, when she fasts much and stands much in worship, and she is your wife in Paradise as well?" So he (peace and blessings be upon him) took her back.
