It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: When the people of Makkah sent wealth for the ransom of their prisoners, Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), sent some wealth for the ransom of (her husband) Abu al-As, among which was the necklace that Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) had given Zaynab at the time of her marriage. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that necklace, it deeply affected his heart and intense tenderness overcame him (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you think it best, release Zaynab's prisoner and return her wealth to her." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had taken a pledge from Abu al-As, and he had promised that he would send Sayyidah Zaynab to him (peace and blessings be upon him) (in Madinah).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but he did not record it.
