It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rifa'ah bin Rafi' al-Zuraqi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: On the day of the Battle of Uhud, when the polytheists had turned back, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of you straighten up (in rows) so that I may glorify and praise my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic." So the Companions stood behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) in rows, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) made this supplication: 'Allahumma lakal-hamdu kulluhu, Allahumma la qabida lima basatta, wa la basita lima qabadta, wa la hadiya liman adlalta, wa la mudilla liman hadayta, wa la mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wa la mani'a lima a'tayta, wa la muqarriba lima ba'adta, wa la muba'ida lima qarrabta, Allahummabsut 'alayna min barakatika wa rahmatika wa fadlika wa rizqika, Allahumma inni as'alukan-na'imal-muqimalladhi la yahulu wa la yazulu, Allahumma inni as'alukal-amna yawmal-khawf, Allahumma 'a'idhun bika min sharri ma a'taytana wa sharri ma mana'tana, Allahumma habbib ilaynal-imana wa zayyinhu fi qulubina, wa karrih ilaynal-kufra wal-fusuqa wal-'isyan, waj'alna minar-rashidin, Allahumma tawaffana muslimin, wa ahyina muslimin, wa alhiqna bis-salihin, ghayra khazaya wa la maftunin, Allahumma qatilil-kafaratalladhina yukadhdhibuna rusulaka, wa yasudduna 'an sabilika, waj'al 'alayhim rijzaka wa 'adhabaka, ilahal-haqq, amin' (O Allah! All praise belongs to You alone. O Allah! None can withhold what You spread out, and none can spread out what You withhold; none can guide the one whom You leave astray, and none can lead astray the one whom You guide; none can give what You withhold, and none can withhold what You give; none can bring near what You put far, and none can put far what You bring near. O Allah! Spread out upon us Your blessings, Your mercy, Your grace and Your provision. O Allah! I ask You for lasting blessings that never change and never end. O Allah! I ask You for security on the Day of Fear. O Allah! I seek Your refuge from the evil of what You have given us and from the evil of what You have withheld from us. O Allah! Make faith beloved to us and adorn it in our hearts, and make disbelief, sin and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among those who are rightly guided. O Allah! Cause us to die as Muslims, keep us alive as Muslims, and join us with the righteous, without disgrace and without being put to trial. O Allah! Destroy the disbelievers who deny Your messengers and turn people away from Your path, and send down upon them Your punishment and Your torment, O True God! (Accept this supplication of mine.))

Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih, as has been explained earlier (no. 1889).
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (10370) narrated it from Ziyad bin Ayyub, with this chain.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (24/ 15492) narrated it from Marwan bin Mu'awiyah, from 'Abd al-Wahid, from 'Ubayd Allah bin 'Abd Allah al-Zuraqi, from his father.
Details of the narration: Al-Fazari once said: "from Ibn Rifa'ah al-Zuraqi, from his father", and someone other than al-Fazari said: "'Ubayd bin Rifa'ah al-Zuraqi".
Note / Clarification: We say: al-Fazari too named him so in the narration of 'Ali bin al-Madini, Ziyad bin Ayyub and others from him, and Khallad bin Yahya likewise named him so in his narration from 'Abd al-Wahid bin Ayman (see no. 1889 with the author). Al-Nasa'i (10371) narrated it by way of Abu Nu'aym al-Fadl bin Dukayn, from 'Abd al-Wahid bin Ayman, from 'Ubayd bin Rifa'ah al-Zuraqi, as mursal. He too named him 'Ubayd bin Rifa'ah, but narrated it from him as mursal.
